I’m delighted to announce the launching of a new portal for budding photographers: Photography Blogs. The idea came to me while I was struggling to establish my own photography business (as I still am). Like any niche where demand is large and prices are high, competition is brutal. Unless you stay current with the cutting edge of marketing and social networking, you and your site are bound to drown in the ocean of the Internet, never to be seen by anyone.
Well, not anymore: with Photography Blogs, I am inviting budding photographers to showcase their work ‘on the house’. Look at it as a virtual art gallery. If you are a wedding or portrait photographer, you can publish your best shots as a post and have them gain exposure. Moreover, your site will be linked to mine and together we’ll develop a stronger online network.
Here are words of advice from a budding Yuba City Photographer: the film camera has already transitioned into the digital; physical marketing is rapidly transitioning into social networking. Those who keep not right onwards will be lost in the sea of indefinite photography sites that hope for traffic in vain. Hoping is insufficient; you must reach out, interact, connect and promote yourself.
There’s a catch to Photography Blogs: I plan to showcase only one photographer from each city in America. The door has been opened and now it is up to you to step through. If you want to join my network, you are most welcome to contact me via this site or browse directly to photographyblogging.com to showcase your work.
